Terms and Conditions

1. Booking and Payment

• All charters require a 50% deposit at the time of booking to confirm the reservation.
• The remaining balance is due before the day of the charter or on the day prior to the start of the charter.
• Payment methods accepted: major credit cards and cash.

2. Cancellation and Refund Policy

• Cancellations made 10 days or more prior to the scheduled charter will receive a  refund of the deposit minus service fees.      
• Cancellations made within 10 days of the charter may forfeit the deposit unless the slot is rebooked. Refund to be deposit amount minus service fees. 
• In the event of cancellation by the captain due to weather, safety, or mechanical issues, a full refund or reschedule will be offered.
• Any other refund or partial refund will be chosen amount minus service fees.

3. Weather Policy

• The captain has the final say on whether a trip proceeds based on weather and sea conditions.
• If the captain cancels due to unsafe conditions, you will be given the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.
• Trips shortened due to weather conditions after departure may receive a partial refund at the captain's discretion. 
• Trips shortened by passenger sea sickness (motion sickness) may receive a partial refund at the captain’s discretion.  

4. Safety and Conduct

• All passengers must follow the captain’s safety instructions at all times.
• The use of illegal drugs or excessive alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited on board.
• The captain reserves the right to terminate the trip without refund in the event of unsafe or inappropriate behavior.

5. Assumption of Risk

• Fishing and boating carry inherent risks. By booking a charter, all participants agree to assume full responsibility for any risks involved.
• Ketchin Fish LLC  and its staff are not liable for injuries, loss, or damage to personal property during the trip.

6. Catch Policy

• All fishing activities must comply with local fishing regulations.
• The captain will advise on limits and protected species.
• Some trips may be catch-and-release depending on season, species, or client preference.

7. Licensing

• All guests are responsible for obtaining a valid Alaska State fishing license prior to the trip.
• Guests not in possession of a valid Alaska State Fishing license will not be allowed to board and will be considered a guest canceled trip. No refund will be considered for trips canceled for this reason. 

8. Limitations of Liability

• Ketchin Fish LLC shall not be held responsible for delays, cancellations, or changes caused by factors outside of our control (e.g., weather, government regulations, etc.).
• We are not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items brought aboard.

9. Photography and Media

• Photos and videos taken during your charter may be used for marketing purposes unless you notify us otherwise.

10. Agreement

• By booking a charter with Ketchin Fish LLC, you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
